Oh dear. The world famous Signature Theatre in Shirlington, Virginia, announced a screening of Funny Lady in its Max theatre. What a travesty!!! Max theatre my behind! It turns out the Signature's idea of a screening was to place a small white screen in the middle of the stage. In front of the screen was a LAPTOP (!!!) and an office projector. The laptop was prepped to play the DVD of Funny Lady. My friends and I stared in disbelief and walked out. I know Barbra is a thing of the past, of a millennium we've left behind, a dinonsaur if you will, but please have some dignity! If not for her sake for the sake of Virgnia's only successful theatre. OY!
