Oh dear.  Just when I thought I had seen everything...  Well, today I saw Ennio at the Arena Stage in Washington DC.  Arena Stage, DC's premier theatre,  is located in the prestigious and ultra conservative SouthWest region of DC.  Needless to say, SouthWest was not ready for Ennio.  I wasn't ready for Ennio.  Remember when you were in art class and you had to do art in construction paper?  And you wondered what could possibly be the purpose of construction paper art?  Well, Ennio has it figured out.  He cleverly dresses in a black leotard and using construction paper (or the like) he creates costumes of celebrities.  And while he lipsyncs he goes from one celebrity to the next (usually two per number).  He paired Barbra (as he lipsynced Woman In Love) with Wonder Woman.  He also created paper versions of Liza, Madonna, Cher, Celine, Ella, Tina, Judy  and so on.   If you don't believe me, go to enniomarchetto.com and read all about it.  And this time, you CAN believe what you read.
