BREAKING NEWS ABOUT THE TOUR: A lady sent barbra a vieo of her mother saying she's sorry for treating her so bad and she really thought she was beautiful afterall. She also says that although she still thinks Roslyn is more talented and should have starred in Yentl, she has come to accept Barbra finally. Barbra will play the video during her London engaement instead of the Bush skit.

I for one am very glad to hear about this. During her U.S. concerts, she only mentioned Jason and didn't talk about her father or any one else in her family. I knwo she doesn't like to talk about her personal life, but she certainly has in every other show and interview she ever did, so she will finally come full circle.

Thank God this video has been discovered!! It is most important that Barbra show this video to eat up valuable concert time when she could be singing. Trixie, are you really Emily?

So - I'm listening to the new CD of the 2006 concert (the one with the infamous Emily snub), at one point Barbra says - "Who better sing with me then Il Divo!". Who better - how about anyone? They're so full of themselves. At least she did the right thing and cut all their solo numbers so we don't have to listen to their infernal caterwalling (as C. Montgomery Burns calls it). Just imagine, if she dropped them during the concert tour last year, she could have sung People, The Way We Were and Evergreen again - or maybe even Emily! But no, we had sit through those American Idol wannabes. She could have used her clout and re-formed the Spice Girls, the Go-Gos or the Village People to sing back up - or maybe even the Smashing Pumpkins! What a waste.

I also got the free DVD sampler from Borders (it's not actually free - it cost 2 cents - really! - I guess she needs that money for the new house). Anyway, something I hadn't noticed while sitting through the concerts last year - she's not wearing a neck choker like she usually does. She should have. If you watch this 2 cent DVD, you'll understand. She gives new meaning to the phrase "Turtle Neck".
