April 24, 2007--Happy Birthday!

Happy B-day to Kelly Clarkson and Barbra Streisand. Both born today but many years apart. Speaking of Kelly, I don't know if I can bring myself to watch American Idol today. With Sangina and Haley gone, what is there to look forward to? The remaining contestants are not that exciting. If everything goes as it should, Melinda and Jordin will be the last two standing and Jordin will win. By then, Barbra should have announced her European Tour. At 65, it's now or never. The question that will drive this is: Are Europeans willing to pay her prices?

Europeans worship me. That is why I sang Ma Premier Chanson in America. I wanted to whet their whistle. James and I plan to stay at Europe's most lovely hotels and I will sing People and Happy Da6s Are Here Again because as stale as those songs are, hearing me sing it live breathes new life to royal subjects and all the little people who I encourage to recyle and hang their clothes out on laundry lines. I will not stop until I see the queen's tiara hanging out on a clothesline.
